Synopsis:From Oscar–winning director Martin Scorsese, "Shutter Island" is the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island‘s fortress–like hospital for the criminally insane.

Shutter Island/Inception in disguise go figure 5 out of 100
So over hyped its not even funny, did not enjoy at all was clock watching a lot and have to say the overall plot pivots around the wife and what happened to her very similar to inception, overall I could not recommend this.

Sorry to be so different to the 'norm' but (a) I liked it a lot and (b) I didn't predict the end. I thought it was quite clever and not a bad look at (in)sanity. I guess it's all a matter of taste.

Excellent suspense thriller 40 out of 100
One you really need to concentrate on till the end. It will keep you intrigued right to the last line which is very significant !

Skitter Island!! 5 out of 100
This is an absolute farce. Another in the recent string of Di Caprio films that is hugely over-rated. Neither he and nor Scrorcese has produced anything worth a fraction of the credit they have received over the past 10 yrs. Scorcese is incapable of producing a film without gaping plot-holes and Di Caprio cannot see past the directors credit on the cover page of a script.

I really enjoyed this film. A very strong story, well told and it keeps you guessing right up until the end and then some. Fabulous imagery and performances from all. A mist see.

A bit of a let down 30 out of 100
A little way into this movie I predicted an ending but thought 'That's far too obvious - there has to be another twist'.. However, the twist I created in my own head never came and I was very disappointed. Maybe I overthought it. The acting is good though

A bad end. 25 out of 100
As has been said before in most of the reviews I've read, this turns out to be a huge disappointment. What was a very atmospheric, well acted movie is totally ruined by an unbelieveable twist at the end.

If they hadn't shown the ferry journey in the beginning of the movie, it might have become more plausible. I felt disappointed. But still a OK movie to watch.

Ending doesn't do the film justice 25 out of 100
With a different ending this could have been great - the acting is good and the setting great, with a sense of dread building as you get brought along by the story, but in the end it is such a terrible cop out that it makes you feel you've wasted time in watching.

Shame about the ending...... 20 out of 100
This film starts out really well; moody and atmospheric. Unfortunately from about a third of the way in there are large neon signs signposting the most unbelievably formulaic ending. What has happened to Martin Scorsese in recent years, he used to make really good movies?

This is not good. thought it was going to be great. but its predictable, you can figure out story after about half an hour and also it is just sick. and disturbing and not worth the time. bad news bears.
