Did not expect to enjoy this film. I am not a big fan of science fiction. I was surprised, it was very entertaining. Itdid not feel as long as I had heard.

I was probably one of the 29 people in the world who refused to see Avatar. I watched it anyway, just to "see" what it was about. I acknowledge that the special effects are stunning, but to be honest, I was NEVER convinced once that could be real. That giant Smurf could exist on an alien planet. To me Buzz Lightyear generates and renders more humane feeling than the whole Na'avi (whatever!) tribe. It was a big let down. The ending - as well as the rest of the story - is so predictable. I can't wait to miss Avatar 2 and 3...

I thought the whole movie was overrated and played too much on Star Wars movies; partiularly Return of Jedi with the whole forest theme (ala Ewoks). Good special effects though.

Highly Recommended 40 out of 100
Amazing. Beautiful. Another stunner by Cameron. If you liked the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Star Wars, then it’s a combination, but more Lord of the Rings. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

This is a cartoon. 5 out of 100
I enjoyed it at the time, but now i detest it. Could be the Titanic effect. After all James Cameron is a bell.

Not just a simple sci-fi (fairy) tale 40 out of 100
The story can be seen as equivalent to present day US aggression meted out to peoples around the world, the more different the more aggression. The disregard for (and even belligerent attitude to) 'foreign' religious faith lends further credence to this compasrison. Equally, it can be seen as analgous to the destruction of native Americans (so called indians) and the dress, hairstyles and other similarities are quite striking here. The special effects are brilliant though I didn't see it in 3

Blue is the New Green Peace 35 out of 100
I just loved the rainforest scenes. But I just hated the ending. It would have been nice to see the white man do the right thing. This aside it was a great film.

Its a brilliant movie i would recommend to everyone to watch i never got bored of it i watch the movie almost everyday and the kids loved it as well i wish i watched it on 3D but doesnt matter.

Truly groundbreaking. Fabulous special effects and a world so beautiful and different you'd save up all your cash just to be able to go there on a holiday. The story is nothing special, but when it comes in a package like this it still works. Even my wife, who hates most animation and all sci-fi stuff, loved this one.

Wow amazing special effects 45 out of 100
I watched this movie on home cinema with surround sound. I thought the special effects were amazing. The storyline is as far fetched as you can get (avatar v human) but you soon come to realise that this film is a cracker. From start to finish, the graphics, the effects, the attention to detail is flawless!! Sit back and be entertained!!
