Synopsis:The clock is ticking on Monty Brogan's freedom: in 24 hours, he goes to prison for seven long years. Once a kingpin Manhattan, Monty is about to say goodbye to the life he knew - a life that opened doors to New York's swankiest clubs but also alienated him from the people closest to him. In his last day on the outside, Monty tries to reconnect with his father, who's never given up on his son, and gets together with his two closest friends from the old days, Jacob and Slaughtery. Also in the mix is his girlfriend, Naturelle, who might (or might not) have been the one that tipped off the cops. Monty's not sure of much these days but with time running out, there are choices to be made...

This film felt like it lasted 25 hours. Drawn out big time. Wouldn't recommend.

Good, just not what I expected 35 out of 100
From watching the trailer I expected this to be a thriller centered around Norton on the day before he is due to go to prison. Will he go on the run, will he kill himself, will he get revenge on whoever sold him out? In truth this is quite a heavy drama about friendship and knowing who you can rely on in the darkest of times. It is good though.

strong story 40 out of 100
I had this for a long time before I got around it viewing it and in the end I had to force myself to watch it...glad to say I was pleasantly surprised and I really enjoyed this film. It had that nice indie feel to it and a good strong story, well told.

Only rent this if you're a big Spike Lee fan. If this is representative of his talent he won't be winning many more fans. Edward Norton is usually good, but the script was so dire it made him appear dis-interested. All the characters were grumpy and miserable, and 30 minutes into the film I decided I really couldn't care less what happened.

Starts off very slow,but still holds your attention tough nothing really happens for nearly 30 mins but this is a long film and gets better as it progresses,by the end you`ll be glad you watched it altough sometimes you`ll wonder why

I was glued to the screen from the very start of the film till the end. The plot is interesting and looks at the possibilities of "what if". Worth watching.

great movie was a bad start but as it went along got more interesting and better glad they did it good and another great acting by the man himself shows a world alive and touching too

Reasonable viewing 20 out of 100
I am not a huge Spike Lee / Edward Norton fan, as I always find the films quite hard going - this was no exception. It was enjoyable, but wasn't entertainment at it's easiest......you have to concentrate if you are going to fully understand this film.

I am a big fan Norton but I was left wondering where they were going with this story to the extent that I fell asleep so have no idea what happened at the end suffice to say my girlfriend filled me in and I didn't miss much according to her.

having seen edward norton in american history x, this proves that he can carry a film and create an atmosphere unique to his acting abilities. the movie itself was interesting and made captivating by norton's presence, will certainly watch again or even buy.

Good film, Worth watching for the bit where he talks to his reflection in the mirror describing the multinational population of NY :) Makes me want to watch 'Do the right thing" again...

Interesting but slow 30 out of 100
Ed Norton gives a typically intense performance in 25th hour as he's about to go away to prison for 7 years. It follows the course of his last night with some flashbacks to what led up to this. Not brilliant but okay viewing

Was told this had a great twist in the end, total lies*(could have used several words here). The whole movie builds and builds and leaves you with nothing in the end. If you've seen every other movie this month then its worth watching.

If a little slow in places, this is quite a good film, showing the faults and assests of a man who has nobody to blame but himself for his current situation. Definately worth watching.

Can Edward Norton ever put a foot wrong? 40 out of 100
Excellent movie. Monty has a very matter of fact view of going to prison and takes his last day of freedom to tie up lose ends and to help those around him come to terms with his conviction.
